Abrasion Testing Machine

As per IS: 10070. For determination of the resistance to wear of small size aggregates and crushed rocks. The machine consists of a hollow cylinder mounted on a sturdy frame on ball bearings. A detachable shelf which extends throughout the inside length of the drum catches the abrasive charge and does not allow it to fall on the cover. The drum is rotated at a speed of 30-33 RPM by an electric motor through a heavy duty reduction gear. Motor is suitable for operation on 440 volts, 3 phase, A.C. supply. The unit is supplied complete with a tray for collection of the material with abrasive charge.

Aggregate Impact Test Apparatus

The sturdy construction consists of a base and support columns to form a rigid frame work around the quick release trigger mechanism to ensure an effective free fall of hammer during test. Supplied complete with a cylindrical cup, a metal measure 75 mm inner dia x 50 mm deep and a tamping rod. The apparatus is fitted with a blow counter.

Automatic Bitumen Compactor

The automatic compactor eliminates the laborious process of manual compaction and an even degree of compaction is achieved. The drive mechanism lifts the weight of 4.5 kg and drops it through a correct height of 457 mm. The rammer foot is removable, which facilitates preheating. A compaction pedestal with specimen holder is fixed to the base. An automatic blow counter enables the number of blows to be preset before each test and automatically stops the machine on completion. Benklemean Beam Apparatus

The principle of this equipment is that a long beam resting on a road surface at one end and balanced at a point to give a ratio of 2:1 will magnify small deflections caused by loadings adjacent to the end of the beam in contact with the road. By using a stable platform adjacent to the other end of the beam, this small movement can be measured accurately. The apparatus consists of :Gunmetal mould, 100mm dia x 127.3mm high x 1000ml volume, Extension collar 100mm dia. x 60mm high, Drainage base plate with a recess for a porous stone and with an outlet valve, Metallic clamping ring, Drainage cap (Top plate with a recess for a porous stone and fitted with an inlet valve and an air release valve), Dummy plate to serve as a false bottom curing compaction, Porous stone for drainage base plate, Porous stone for drainage cap, Set of three glass stand pipes approx. 6 mm dia., 10mm dia. and 20mm dia. mounted on a stand, 3 meter long rubber connecting tube with pinch cock.

Bitumen Mixer

It comprises of an epicyclic type stainless steel paddle which is capable imparting rotating and revolving motions at two different speeds of approximately 62 or 125 rotations per minute, coupled with approximately 140 or 285 revolutions per minute. The mixer is provided with approximately 5 kg capacity Stainless Steel bowl. Heating jacket is provided below the bowl.

Bitumen Penetration Apparatus

The apparatus consists of a cast aluminum base with an iron stand on which moves aluminum arm. A 15cm dial is fixed on this arm and a brass rod slides through the lower portion of the arm. A needle with weight is fitted to this rod. The dial is graduated from0-400 in one tenth millimeter sub division. Supplied complete with adjustable needle holder, penetration needle, sample container, transfer dish and weights – 50gm & 100gm.

Compaction Factor Apparatus

As per IS: 5515. Apparatus is complete with with hoppers and receiver assembly. Built on a rigid and stable frame consists of two conical hoppers, each with a hinged trap door. Trap door is operated by a quick release mechanism to allow a free fall to the released concrete mix sample. A cylindrical mould is fitted beneath the two hoppers. Hoppers and receiver can be easily removed for cleaning.
